George White’s Scandals of 1921

Opened at the Liberty Theatre, New York on July 11, 1921.  97 performances.  Music by George Gershwin.  Lyrics by Arthur Jackson.  Book by Arthur “Bugs” Baer and George White.  Produced and staged by George White.  Cast included George White, Ann Pennington, Theresa Gardella, Olive Vaughan, Lester Allen, and Bert Gordon.

George Gershwin’s second score for the SCANDALS was another hodgepodge of tunes; amazingly five of the six songs were published during the show’s run, though none have retained any sort of popularity.
